Great Sound and Can Easily Stand Up to Nature's Worst, May 25, 2011 This review is from: Shark SHKMSDHRS6160 250w Motorcycle Audio w/ 2 speakers + FM splash proof remote (Electronics) I've been looking for a good set of speakers ever since I purchased my new Harley last month. I've used Shark speakers in the past and have had only good experiences with them. They make quality speakers and I only gave up my last Shark speakers because my husband busted them (and our last bike) after fooling around in the yard on our bike. These new speakers are even better than the last set we had and the sound quality they provide can't be beat. The speakers sound great on their own and via headset. Unlike our last set, this set actually includes USB and SD card support so we can grab music off of our computer and listen to it while we're on the road. The aux. input even supports the use of MP3 players so we can listen to music directly off our iPod as well. The selling point for us was the water proof nature of this speaker set. We recently drove from New York to California in all kinds of horrible weather and the speakers haven't stopped working or changed in audio quality one... Read more

Be Careful with Product Description!, September 14, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Shark SHKMSDHRS6160 250w Motorcycle Audio w/ 2 speakers + FM splash proof remote (Electronics) Here are the things I've noted:
Speaker brackets are not described on the page - They must use existing or newly drilled bolts for mounting. The Shark speaker handle bar conversions cause them to be mounted sideways on your handlebars. I ended up making these look nice by mounting with windshield bolts down near the gas tank.
250W power... The amp may be but each of your speakers are only 50W. There is a port for a subwoofer but the manual says it only handles 60W. How you are supposed to use 250W with this setup is beyond me without buying larger speakers and throwing away the ones that come with it.
Speakers may be waterproof (I have my doubts) but the AMPLIFIER IS NOT!!! This amplifier makes no sense for motorcycles! The usb and sd card slots are open enough you can see circuit boards inside the amp. The HUGE (Yeah right) light up display can only be viewed from an angle... this means you have to mount the amp on the front of the bike, with the card... Read more

I used a nine volt battery to test the radio and man do I like it so far. Again the only thing so far is the instruction ( they suck ) Fortunately I am rather handy and will find a way to connect to my bike C-90 suzuki. I'll let you know how goes it.
