The stock shaker 1000 and 500 speakers in the mustangs leave a lot to be desired and seeing these side by side with the shoddy stock speakers, it's easy to see why.
They fit perfectly with no issues (make sure you get a pair of wiring harness adapters to attach to the factory speaker wires) and sound SO much better.
There is much more clarity in the high end and when pushed hard, the lows, while not dominating or bassy are very clean and crisp and allow the door sub woofers to do their job.
Listening to music on the interstate with the windows down is now possible or rather, instead of just a loud noise coming from the stock speakers in that scenario, you can cleanly hear vocals and nuances to the instruments. I listen to a wide variety of music and these seem to translate everything nicely.
Great improvement for the money.

I have always used JL Audio for aftermarket speakers. I recently installed 4 of these in a 2011 mustang and the sound difference compared to the factory speakers is amazing! For the price these can't be beat! Do it.

These JL's are sweet. I purchased here due to the cost, as there was almost $100.00 difference between several on-line vendors. Amazon was THE best price and I have dealt with them previously and treated very well. The sound improvement between the stock speakers and the JL's is so much more noticeable that some friends noticed the first time they heard them. I will buy from Amazon also due to the fact that Amazon was American enough to hire unemployed families during the Christmas season and kept them on. That speaks volumes in my book. While other wealthy companies outsource jobs, Amazon out shines them all and hires here at home. BRAVO to you, Amazon, for a job well done. Thank you for hiring American families and supporting them.
