Need alot of power but sound great, November 2, 2011 This review is from: Alpine SPR-60C 6-½" 2-Way Component System (Electronics) Rockford fosgate 300/4 amp pushing these in my car...Sound clear no matter how loud. Only problem is that at 3/4 volume my amp is pushing them all the way and they cant go any louder. Not the speaker's fault. Obviously they need more like 100-150watts RMS each to really sing. All in all a great speaker though. I cannot make them sound bad no matter how hard I push them.
When You Have To Have The Best - You'll Be Pressed To Find Better Than These At Amazon Prices, April 25, 2012 This review is from: Alpine SPR-60C 6-½" 2-Way Component System (Electronics) Forty-two years ago I purchased a somewhat sporty compact car no one would have ever thought I would have kept so long or up so well. The car still looks new - and smells new. Even so after it having seen many changes through the years. The first change was a new drivetrain in the early 70's capable of supporting over 500 horsepower. I retired it from drag racing some 35 years ago (wouldn't install the required roll bars), and it has now been a very long time since it was a trophy winning car, but it's still an eye catching conversation piece that still runs as great as it looks.
I still enjoy firing up its engine and shifting through the gears of the Nascar 4-speed, but something was missing. It had been almost forty years since it had a really nice sounding radio - like what I had in the car when I was a teenager dating pretty girls that always took a liking to me and this car.
