Crystal clear sound and good low and mid range bass. I bought two pair and installed them in my boat in a sealed enclosure. Powered by a 4 channel amp they sound great. Very impressive for a small speaker.

Nice speakers, but installation can represent a problem, June 9, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Polk Audio AA2653-A MM6501UM 6.5-Inch Component Ultra Marine Speaker (Electronics) Have a 2003 mastercraft with the factory tower sound system. The existing speakers appeared to match up identically with this set - 6.5" main unit with the little separate tweeters.
The things were mounted in those cast aluminum mounts on the tower. When I pulled the factory speekers and went to install these, none of the mounting holes matched up. Slightly larger diameter and offset a little. Additionally, the back chassis of the speaker was slightly larger in diameter - to the point it was a press fit in some of the cans. Top it off, the tweeters apparantly all have different mounting methods - so had to use the back shell from existing system to mount these - which didn't look great as old speakers were white.
This required the drilling and tapping of 16 holes so new hardware would line up, and had to use a die grinder to enlarge a couple of the cans. Cable on tweeter exits the unit in a different location as well - so more grinding/drilling to allow for... Read more
