Very Nice, December 25, 2011 By AA (Northern Illinois) - See all my reviews This review is from: Focal 165 VB (Electronics) I bought these units after my dealer gave me a good deal to upgrade my bad choices in speakers the first time around.
I installed them in the rear doors of my small SUV. The tweeters are flush mounted at 8 inches away from the woofer, center to center distance per maximum distance recommendations.
Even with the tweeters at knee level, they provide a bright, natural airy open sound that is really really nice. You'll be driving along and all of a sudden a song with nice vocals will come on and these speakers just fill the air with an almost angelic sound quality. The bass is decent too, as is the power handling. No harshness to these speakers whatsoever, just an open natural pleasing sound, very accurate.
These are the best car speakers available a this price and sound as good or better than many more expensive speakers, even much higher priced focal models.

I seriously don't know how these guys stay in business. Do people not care about saving money. These are the top of the line componet speakers they sound amazing even on my stock deck. Can't wait til I upgrade to amplifier to really get how great and clear these babies sound. I recomend these for anyone who enjoys crystal clear music
