Pleased with these speakers..., July 9, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Kuryakyn The Sound of Chrome Speakers - 1in Handlebars 852 Great little speakers. No Bose system, but they are not meant to be. Good up to 55mpg, okay thereafter. You're not going to enjoy Barry Manilow on these, but hard rock comes out good. Put the volume control on the clutch side, as you will want to adjust volume when stopped in town. Also make sure you separate them as far as your handlebars will allow and point them at your head (that's where your ears are). Make sure you order with the correct clamp size, based on the size of your handlebars, or you will cry. Turn them off when your done (so they don't drain your battery). Turn it up and rock on. --Peace.

Don't waste your hard earned money!!!, April 26, 2012 This review is from: Kuryakyn The Sound of Chrome Speakers - 1in Handlebars 852 I bought the sound of chrome speakers because I read so many good reviews about them. They look good but don't sound as good as they look. I was very excited to hear how they sounded so I hooked them up to my motorcycle battery. I turned them on and the sound was OK. Not worth the $300 I paid for them. I started going over the whole system and found there was pitting in the chrome and the noise purifier box had a sticky black glue all over it. Plus a small hole in the noise purifier. So this set went back to Riders Needs Inc. out of Chicago. (Not a good company to try to get a return phone call) They did send me another set of Sound of Chrome speakers after a week. (I am a 1 day shipping point from Chicago) I hooked the "new" speakers up to make sure everything worked and one of the speakers was not working. So those went back. I am waiting for my refund. I don't think these sound any better than the Shark Audio speakers. Way to much money for the sound quality. I'm very disappointed... Read more
2 of 2 people found the following review helpful Don't waste your money..., September 24, 2011 This review is from: Kuryakyn The Sound of Chrome Speakers - 1in Handlebars 852 Purchsed "Sound of Chrome" and they worked pretty well, not great volume to start, for about 2 months and then the volume dropped by 50%! Couldn't hear it above an idle. Called Kuryakyn, they told me it must be a defective amp & to contact the verndor, which I did, and they said to return them to Kuryakyn for replacement, which I did. They have not replaced them! I would not buy this item again due to poor quality & I will never purchase Kuryakyn brand anything as they do not stand behind their products!
